Sephora’s Spring Bonus Sale

April brings a lot of rain, a lot of allergies and a lot of sales.

I’m awful at the whole “spring cleaning” thing, because I take the opportunity to get rid of things I don’t need, which is supposed to free up some space… until I fill it back up again. Yay, tax return money (I’m so bad at being an adult)!

I had a lot of time to kill this weekend, so naturally, I caved and checked out Sephora for their new products. Their Spring Bonus sale just kicked off for Rouge members, and I have no self control when it comes to purchasing makeup, so that means me. I was able to use the code YAYROUGE from April 13 – April 16, and it starts up again from April 20 – April 23, using codes YAYVIB for 15% off and YAYINSIDER for 10% off. May have to come back for round two…

I used the sale opportunity to pick up Drybar’s Full Pint Medium Round Brush. The brush I’ve been using has seen its days – the handle was about to pop off – so it was time for a new one. This brush was suggested to me on Twitter. So far, it can withstand my thick hair and leave it smooth and soft. At $40, it is a little pricey for a brush, but I’m happy with it!

I also purchased a new Cream Lip Stain from Sephora in color 69 Hippy Pink. I may be late to the game, but it looks like they dropped a TON of new shades. I’ve always loved their cream lip stains, too. They smell amazing, apply smoothly and truly don’t come off, no matter what you’re doing, eating, anything. The shade is bright for my pale skin right now, but it’s going to be perfect for the summer.

Last, but certainly not least, I HAD to get the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette. I was not disappointed in the slightest.

Some people think that brown eyes are the easiest to pick a palette for. Personally, I don’t think that’s the case. Use too many dark shades and you end up looking like you have two black eyes. Use too many light shades and you might as well have not put any shadow on at all. This palette is PERFECT for brown eyes. The shadows are pigmented and there are a ton of color combinations you can choose from. I’ve used it every day since I got it on Monday. I can’t keep away from Dusty Rose and Sultry. We’ll see if I eventually venture out to the other colors.

Not much more to say other than that I’m very happy with my purchases. #ThanksSephora
